We begin this week with the release of my wonderful time guesting on the P[w]rescription podcast – Doc and I talk about how I got into wrestling, deathmatches, nu-metal, Hellraiser and so much more! https://redcircle.com/shows/48d08359-d3a6-459a-8bd7-4224a18fd287/ep/e1903dbb-452a-4ce1-86b8-4fda80623585.

Also got to show love to cagneychick182 on Youtube for this excellent montage of Hangman Adam Page over Trish from Trish and Sarah’s Get Up and Do It Again Tomorrow speech:

In the world of AEW/ROH – I’d highly recommend the two matches featuring CMLL talent from the final Chicago ROH taping: Volador Jr, Magnus and Rugido AKA Los Depredadores vs Dark Order (Uno, Silver and Reynolds) and Sky Team (Mistico/Mascara Dorada) vs Blake Christian and Lee Johnson.

Collision had a great hard hitting opener between Kyle Fletcher and Tomohiro Ishii in Kyle’s first TNT defense (and excellent news that Fletcher signed a new multi-year deal too!), Triangle Of Madness and Megan Bayne continuing their dominance as we begin the road (I hope) to Women’s trios titles and Blood and Guts, the delightful Harley Cameron vignette that gave The Mask vibes, a clear turn for Caster to babyface which I didn’t think would work and a nice trios event between LFI and as coined by Speedball on socials the team of Flying Pony Club (Jetspeed and Hangman).

Kudos to Paul Walter Hauser for being a guest commentator that actually knew their stuff and was not thankfully on the level of bad that Susan St James was in 1986.

Dynamite finally started ramping up Forbidden Door as we see MJF’s ego potentially bite him as he decided to cash in the contract for Forbidden Door which means when you throw in Athena cashing hers in we’re not dragging this out this year which is so damn refreshing considering how OTHER PLACES use that trope by doing BS moments to get clicks and Hangman NAILED my issues with MJF – issues as I mention on Doc’s podcast I’ve had since the Takeshita insult.

We also get the ‘main event’ with a Lights Out cage match (which is of course unsanctioned so that’s why the quote marks) of Darby, Ospreay, Tanahashi in his final UK match, Omega and Ibushi against Death Riders (Mox, Claudio, Gabe Kidd) and the Bucks so no doubt that will be th most insane match the O2 has EVER seen!

It also makes me think that replaces the Men’s Blood and Guts and for the Dynamite that hosts it we’ll get Triangle of Madness, Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford vs Willow, Aminata, Statlander, Alex Windsor and Ruby Soho return?

Hiromu Takahashi being Kyle’s opponent for Forbidden Door’s excellent too, in fact the only thing that I felt was meh this week was the rush job that is Cope and Christian reunion which I suspect is so they can win the belts from FTR at All Out.

ROH closes our week and I love how essentially it’s become a nice hour/hour and a half each week of hard hitting action with a mixture of Lucha and Pure wrestling thrown in for good measure AND we got a bonus edition too this week!

I’d say check out Difunto, Volador Jr, The Beast Mortos and Hechicero vs SAP, AR Fox and Alex Zayne (which I’m sure Lance Archer was surprised by given MURDERSAUCE back in NJPW) and Xelhua vs Lee Moriarty from the Thursday edition along with Neon/Mascara Dorada vs Premier Athletes and Willie Mack vs Nick Wayne from the special Friday edition!

That’s all for this week BUT come back on Wednesday for the first BONUS edition as I play catch up on January 2025...
